What is the best foundation for oily skin and large pores?

I've been using glo minerals makeup which is loose. My problem is that since it goes on like a loose powder, it seems to emphasize my large pores and acne scars. Any suggestions....What is the best foundation for oily skin and large pores?
I'm in the same boat as you. My face is like an oil well and my pores are cajunga. But this regimen really helped me:

1. Put a moisturizer like L'oreal's ReFinish Post-Treatment Protective Moisturizer with SPF 15. Let it sit for a few minutes

2. Over the moisturizer put a thin layer of Milk of Magnesia (It may seem weird to spread laxatives over your face, but it's an awesome trick. It seals the moisturizer in and absorbs the oil without defining your pores like powder. Phillips is the best.) If the Milk forms white patches when dry just lightly pat them with a damp cloth or finger.

3. Once the Milk dries, apply Almay's Amazing Lasting 16-hr. Makeup. I would say it lasts more like 12 hours without significant amounts of oil showing. You can get it really cheap at some stores. If you want the makeup to last longer on your skin, apply it with a makeup sponge instead of your finger. It has a better finish. The downside to using the sponge is that it absorbs a lot of the foundation so that it doesn't last as long in the bottle. Also this makeup will cover up most scars.

I know this is a really weird regimen, but it seriously works and only costs like $10 for all the stuff. Hope it works for you! What is the best foundation for oily skin and large pores?
Glo Minerals has a Liquid Foundation in a Matte Formula for excessive oily skin. They also have a face primer to put on before to minimize your pore size and also to give you a matte finish. This is an amazing line and it is good for your skin. Report Abuse

put a base foundation on first then the mineral powder (to soak up the oil on your face)

and also...besides putting makeup on dont touch your face a lot

because your fingers have a special kind of oil on them and if you touch your face that oil gets on your face
The most important thing is to make sure all of your products are oil-free. In my experience, a loose powder is not going to have enough coverage if you have large pores and scars. Also try Neutrogena pore refining cleanser, and then use witch hazel as a toner. Good luck!
I like Loreal Infallible. I have very large pores and I get really oily mid-day. This stuff works great, my skin looks good and it stays on a long time. It's in a bottle with a red pump top at any drug store or target, wal-mart, etc. Should be less than $20
on the website below, there's a good one

I've found that if you put a layer of acne medication (such as Oxy) onto your skin before you put your makeup on, this can help downplay your pores and keeps the oil at bay. If you're finding the powder foundations aren't giving you enough coverage, try a liquid foundation for oily, acne prone skin. Neutrogena SkinClearing Oil Free foundation is a good one, also buy either the matching SkinClearing pressed or loose powder (or both) to use with it to set the makeup.

Another choice is Clarifying Makeup Clear Skin Formula by Clinique with it's matching pressed or loosed powder. Clinique is a lot more expensive than Neutrogena though.
First use a cleanser, then toner, then moisturizer all oil free or for oily complexion. It's kinda expensive but lasts a long time but try Estee Lauder Double Wear Matte Finish. Belks and a lot of other department stores carry that line - they will do a color match for free. The key to making flaws less obvious is to get the makeup as near to a perfect match to your skin tone so it appears to have ';the no make up look'; but makes your complexion look perfect.(The cleanser then toner clean out the pores of the oil that makes the makeup appear splotched with a rolled off look that is even more obvious with large pores and acne scars. Believe me I know. The oil free moisturizer smoothes and evens out the complexion making big pores seem less obvious and makeup glide on more evenly. The Estee Lauder Double Wear Matte Finish make up has great coverage that doesn't rub off and stays in place without touching up all day. Another good trick of the trade is to find what you think is your best feature...your eyes or mouth....and kinda put emphasis there. That keys in and brings focus and attention to ';your best';. These are the things I do that work best for me.
Go to your department store and ask for advice. I've found Yves Saint Laurent foundation to be the best, this was after trying clinique, origins and lancome. Also, YSL have touche e clat which is the best concealer/highlighter in the world!
Try Clinique Pore Minimizer makeup. It is an excellent foundation for anyone with oily skin and large pores.
firstly you need to go to a good department store! like john Lewis etc that sells high quality makeup! loose powders etc wont give the right coverage your looking for! make sure you really exfoliate your skin, you should to get your skin assessed then you need a good moisturizer to suit your skin, or else you ll be getting patches and oil throughout the day once you've applied! you need to go for a FULL coverage Foundation and concealer! you may want to use a stick foundation, or a moose foundation! they hide blemishes and even out skin tone! i use a foundation by Dior-its called Dior icone! its matte (so you don't look too shiny) it hides blemishes, evens skin tone and is long lasting! Bobbi brown do a good foundation stick and so do benefit! for concealers id say lancome and build it up until you get the coverage needed.
