Could some recommend a sun screen which is good for oily skin?

I am traveling to Goa next week and keeping in mind the sultry weather and my oily skin, I'd like a good sun screen,(preferably some brand that I can buy in India) that will keep my skin neat and safe from the sun.

Thanks for all the help!Could some recommend a sun screen which is good for oily skin?
I personally find Lotus sunscreen SPF 30 is the best bet. If you dont mind or rather prefer to have a foundation base with it then go for the Lotus SPF 40. They are non-oily and water proof which makes them perfect for Goa where you are bound to spend a lot of time in the water.

However, do remember to apply a fresh coat every few hours in case of extended time in the water.Could some recommend a sun screen which is good for oily skin?
try clinique spf lotion for oily to combonation skin. really anything that is oil free and dermatalogically tested. also try things that are for sensitive skin.
try ';good skin'; you can buy it at kholes, i did and i loved it. its a nice non-oily moisturizer as well.

What is the best treatment and make-up foundation for severe acne and oily skin?

I have oily skin and bad acne...I have tried seriously everything from Pro-active to clean and clear to neutrogena to noxema to arbonne and everything in between. Salycilic acid and benzoyl peroxide do not work for me. I was looking into emu oil, but i dont know if it would make my skin even more oily or not, and if it would look good under foundation. I wear make-up as well, and since my face gets really oily quickly, i was looking for a good foundation that covers up blemishes and also does not look oily. I guess I am looking for suggestions about any face washes, creams, makeup or treatments that work well. I am a college student, and I do not have all that much money, so I usually do not get real expensive stuff. Thanks! What is the best treatment and make-up foundation for severe acne and oily skin?

hun...i have the same problem as u but not very severe....try clinique foundation or get power foundation or foundation fron loreal which has oil control. for the pimples try differin gel and eryacne gel. just take a small amount, mix them together and apply at night and wash it off in the morning with cold or tepid water. ohh yer....wash your face with your cleaner and then apply it.........try sleeping on your back at night coz it makes it easy for fluids to flow and try to get hair off your face when going to bed and dony eat alot off chille food...hope that helps and good luck.
Ask your doctor for a prescription for Benza-Clin. Also, I find that Neutrogena sensitive skin face wash works. Make sure you moisturize after every time you wash your face. It will make it less oily-believe it or not. I have also heard that putting egg whites on your face and letting it dry can do miracles if you do it every night for like 3 months. Lastly, no matter what the product says, no cover-up or foundation is going to prevent or treat acne for you. Better to let your skin ';breathe'; (the products that say they do this are lying) than cover it up. Maybe have your parents splurge on a trip to a dermatologist when you go home for a visit. Good Luck!
Mineral Makeup - not any old powder makeup, but MINERAL makeup is far better than any wet foundation. Your skin can breathe.

Also use Mario Badescu drying lotion on your breakouts. Don't shake it up, use it exactly how it says to use it, and you won't be disappointed. The stuff is fantastic. Be sure to get a supply of q-tips for using it.

You can find it on ebay. I just looked at the auction and you can get the whole facial kit including the drying lotion. (It was auction

#180035833144 - and, NO it is not my auction.) It can also be bought at MarioBadescu.com.

Good luck!
Read some very useful skin care tips and more on this site to help you
Neutrogena it has salycilic acid that treats acne and its oil free.
start to clear all the acne then start the makeup i highly suggest mixing the right lotion will help trust me! i mixed a lot of lotions into one and it works!Even though you are college student the best foundations are found in estee lauder, chanel, lancome, m.a.c., and sheseido Good luck!
This will be as about as cheap as it gets. Dawn soap, wash your face morning and at night. Use rubbing alcohol to help remove the oil from your face before applying base.

What is the best acne cleanser for body acne and oily skin?

have had acne for years. My face is oily, and not only do I have acne on my face but on my lower back, shoulders, and butt too. What is the best acne cleanser for my face and body that isn't too expensive?

Please don't tell me about pills or give me links to other sites. I just want answers about acne treatments you have used. What is the best acne cleanser for body acne and oily skin?
The Best Answer For All Acne Problems

Acne is an inflammatory disease of the skin, caused by changes in the pilosebaseous units (skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its associated sebaceous gland). Acne usually appears during adolescence in its most common form known as ';acne vulgaris';, which means common acne. The revolutionary Acnezine, the natural acne treatment product is out in the market to help you solve the never-ending problem of acne.

Excessive secretion of oils from the glands combine with naturally occurring dead skin cells to block the hair follicles. Acne is caused due to excessive of oil in human body. Generally people those who eat a lot of oil foodstuff suffer from this problem. Due to Acne some parts of human body are affected. Some of them are face, arms etc. Oil secretions build up beneath the blocked pore, providing a perfect environment for the skin bacteria to multiply uncontrolled. In response, the skin inflames, producing the visible lesion (acne). Rashes are occurred on the body, face, chest, back and upper arms are especially affected by acne. The antioxidant element in Acnezine regulates the oil secretion putting an end to acne slowly and steadily.

The typical lesions of acne are: small whitish or skin-colored bumps (whiteheads) or blackish elevations (blackheads). More inflamed rashes take the form of pus-filled or reddish bumps, even boil-like tender swellings. After resolution of the lesions, prominent unsightly acne scars may remain. Acnezine lightens up these scar marks and makes you feel fresh and comfortable.

The acne condition is common in puberty as a result of an abnormal response to normal levels of the male hormone testosterone. Acne is occurred when the hormones are increased due to excess of oil in the body. There is however no way to predict how long acne will take to disappear completely or that it will ever recur again. But you can of course regulate the acne growth with Acnezine, the natural scientific treatment product for acne treatment.

Acne affects a large percentage of humans at some stage in life. Aside from scarring its main effects are psychological, such as reduced self-esteem and depression.Continuous yoga exercises along with Acnezine treatment helps in a faster remedy. A series of five yoga poses can help increase blood flow to your face, flushing away toxins and providing nutrients to your skin. A daily routine of the following yoga poses are recommended: standing sun, knee squeeze, seated sun, baby and cobra.

Acne should not be neglected and should be treated with great care and responsibility to ensure a healthy life. What is the best acne cleanser for body acne and oily skin?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
Here are some of the easy home remedies you can make:

鈥?Mix unboiled milk and ground nutmeg then apply on pimples. Leave for one or two hours.

鈥?Make a paste by mixing cinnamon powder and honey. Put this on pimples before you to bed and wash it off the next morning. Use warm water for rinsing.

鈥?Create an anti-pimple mixture for normal skin by combining one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of lemon juice. Do not use this if you have sensitive skin.

鈥?Grind a few pieces of orange peel in water. Apply this on face to dry out pimples.

鈥?Mix one tablespoon of lime juice with one tablespoon of groundnut oil. This mixture is effective in preventing blackheads.

鈥?If you have red and swelling pimples in your face, apply the juice of raw papaya on skin to lessen the swelling.

鈥?Mix rose water with sandalwood and apply on blackheads and pimples. Rinse it off after 20 to 30 minutes.
Try using head and shoulders for your hair. It helps soak up some oil in your scalp/face.

Also be sure to find a regime and stick to it twice a day walmart makes a generic proactiv system

And any acne face wash will work on your body just invest in a brush on a stick at the drug store or lufa - (under $10)

Toner helps control the ph level of oil on your face

it's witch hazel. Get a travel spray bottle at the drug store. Fill it after you wash your face, towel dry spritz it with toner.

It should make a difference in a week or so.

Spot treat all acne spots.

AM/PM.
Benzoyl Peroxide, sold as 'PanOxyl', is a common lotion treatment for acne and is quite effective. I'd recommend it. It's not expensive and it can be got from your Doctor.
well here is a good coomparison between the most 3 famous products u should watch it and also look in the site for all u need to know about acne http://acnedestroyer.blogspot.com/2009/0鈥?/a>

What is the best department store brand of foundation for oily skin?

I'm not interested in drug store brands (Cover Girl, Mabelline, etc), nor mineral makeup. I've tried MAC Studio Fix (worked okay, but I want to see if there's a better option) and never had much luck with Clinique or Clarins. Anyone have experience with Shiseido, Bobbi Brown, Prescriptives, or the like? What is the best department store brand of foundation for oily skin?
I'd recommend a dermatologist because theres only so much foundations out there that are good for the skin. But dermatologists can find a preface-lotion that you apply before putting any foundation on that helps take care of the oily skin. Might be pricey so if you can't afford it, I suggest Bare Minerals, I love it! good luck. xxWhat is the best department store brand of foundation for oily skin?
Mary kay is the best for oily or dry skin. I became a consultant for that reason the products work great.
i use: clinique superbalanced makeup (liquid) and then studio fix powder over it for extra coverage. occasionally blot powder throughout the day.
Try Chanel Double Perfection. It can be applied wet and dry and provides full coverage. Also, if you have oily skin it is best that you apply a primer first prior to applying your makeup that way it will last longer and the primer will protect your skin and serve as a barrier between the makeup and your pores.
Yay! you've asked the right person! I sell both Mary Kay and Avon. Mary Kay makes a wonderful liquid foundation for oily skin. It stays matte all day long! My fav for BOTH oily and dry skin is the new mineral foundation. It sits on top of your skin, giving you that gorgeous poreless look. Stay away from the products that you're not able to return if you hate it. Suddenly you find that you've just spent anywhere from 15 to 50 bucks on make up and you hate. Drop me an email and I will help you with anything I can. I can do a really cool customer profile for you on my MK website and after I ask you a few questions it will give you all the make up they recommend they use. It's really fun! Most brands are going to mineral makeup now. When you use it you'll know why. When you email me I'll tell you the products I use on my face and what some of my customers use, what they like and what they don't like. sarahblanco06@yahoo.com

And this gets even worser during summers. I've to travel everyday in crowded buses. I tend to sweat a lot. Pls. tell me what do I do to remain fresh all day long? Also clothes of what type of colors would suit dusky complexion? What is best skin care regime for oily skin?
I have very oily skin. However, I live in a very dry climate too. The biggest mistake people with oily skin make is NOT moisturizing. They assume that they don't need moisturizer because they have such oily skin, but that's not true. If you don't put any on, then your skin thinks it's going to dry out - therefore it produces MORE oil!

    So here's what I use:

    Biore Ice Cleanser

St. Ive's Apricot Scrub with ALPHA HYDROXY (not the one for blemishes and blackheads, this makes it worse!)

Clean and Clear Oil Free Moisturizer (white bottle with a green top)

I mix the above moisturizer with Neutrogena oil free sunblock for faces. Works wonders! ALWAYS use sunscreen!

Dream Matte Mousse (in the little jar from Maybelline I think.)

Also, I'm not sure what ';dusky'; complexion means, but if you have darker skin, I would go with lighter, natural colors. Whites, tans, creams, etc... This makes you're skin look darker and makes you stand out more! (Have have darker skin kinda too...)What is best skin care regime for oily skin?

i have oily skin, but,i use a matte cream blush. tarte cheek stain (: look it up. it rolls on,but not exactly as a cream.its hard to explain.its a lipstick texture.it blends easily and gives you a reall pretty rosy glow (: trust me.i wear it everyday and love it.What is the best blush for oily skin so that it will hold longer?
i know the girl said the make up for ever one but it is not MINERALISED! get the mineral vail. i also have oily skin and i use that one and it makes your skin feel so soft! and it last throughout the day! and for blush, go to sephora and get yourself the right color, because for darker skin you need a darker blush. for myself, i have extremely fair skin and i have smashbox blush which works perfect for me. it is a matter of trying! oh and at sephora you could also ask for samples:D
Heres a specific video on how to apply it to oily skin.

Sometimes, it doesnt matter what kind you wear, but how you put it on.

But, I have super oily skin too so I know what this problem is all about. You need to buy some blotting papers and keep them with you at your desk or in your purse. You can find some very inexpensive ones at my store on b-glowing.com. They are Papier Poudre and are only $3.00 for a packet. You'll want to blot every few hours that you feel you are getting shiney. These will leave a nice matte finish to your skin and the powder will look like you've just put fresh makeup on. The only problem is that your blush will fade away. I alway reapply a little blush if I feel like I'm losing too much of it.

I would highly recommend a mineral makeup for Blush. It's all natural and won't clog your pores. Neutrogena makes a Sheer Bronzer that you can use as a blush. It comes in in a portable push up brush so you won't need to carry more than one item along with you. Mineral makeup is natural and will not clog pores. If you want to invest more money than in a drugstore brand there are a lot of great mineral makeup brands out there that make Blushes. Bare Essentials, Susan Posnick, Sheer Coverage and more. If you look up any of these on the Internet you'll find them.

    Hope this helps!
Powder blush is great for all skin types, but best for oily skin and anyone looking for long-lasting color. NARS Powder Blush Cheek Color is the best. http://www.keeplookingbusy.com/itemDetai鈥?/a>
I have oily skin too and I use make up forever's translucent powerder after I out on my foundation and it will absorb oil through out the day. So try applying a mineral blush after you use an oil absorbing powder.

I manage to counter shine by applying oil-control toner before putting on my makeup. I also use a gel formulation, which gives a good matte coverage and it isn't very hard to keep on.

Could acne and oily skin and hair be an early sign of pregnancy?

I haven't had a pimple in over 3 years, and now all of the sudden my chest and back broke out and I have a few pimples on my face. Also, I have noticed my skin and hair are oily, which they usually are not. It's winter where I live, so usually my skin would be dry. My husband and I have been TTC and I'm just wondering if that has anything to do with it? Any thoughts would be great, THANKS!Could acne and oily skin and hair be an early sign of pregnancy?
could be hun!! hormones are a crazy thing!! people with clear skin can get blemishes and oily skin out of nowhere with pregnancy and visa vera. Best wishes hun! I hope you see that BFP! :)Could acne and oily skin and hair be an early sign of pregnancy?
Definitely sounds promising! I had tons of acne in my first trimester and then it went away in my second trimester and unfortunately came back in my last trimester. I'd say since you normally don't have any acne and you've all of a sudden started to break out after you've been TTC. I'd say you very well MAY be pregnant! =)
Estrogen, progesterone and testosterone all cause oily skin. If you are increasing in any of those hormones (which can be caused by pregnancy) then you will see a change in your skin.
It may be since your hormones get all exited and get quiet unbalance for some time and then back to normal. Good luck lots of baby dust to you.
it really sounds promising that's wat happened to me when i got pregnant

    hope it works out hun

what are some ways that i can prevent my face from getting oily? i can put my makeup on (and i dont wear alot of it) but in a matter of 2-3 hours its all gone due to my excessive oily skin. There is a great facial cleanser available at both the Bath and Body Works store and website. It is called OAT facial cleanser for oily skin. Try using that everyday. There are also they little paper things you can buy that are oil absorbant. You press them on your face and they absorb the oil off of your face. You can usually find them for about four or five dollars in the make-up or skin care department. They always have them at Meijer. Also, be sure to dring plenty of water and try to avoid moisturizers. I don't always use a moisturizer, and I'm in my 30's with oily skin. I also only wash my face once a day with Cetaphil, and use witch hazel. I don't touch my face if I can help it, because your hands carry the most germs on your body. I find most moisturizers too heavy for my skin. The more you stimulate your oil glands, the more oil they will produce, so hands off!

Try and find a lite moisturizer. I really like Neutrogena products.
You still need a moisturizer, oil free and with a sunblock.

Getting rid of spots (caused by oily skin) without facial scrubs?

I really just don't have any time to go out to get a scrub and would like these spots to be gone in a weeks time any easy and effective home made remedies? Thanks.Getting rid of spots (caused by oily skin) without facial scrubs?
No homemade recipes, but a benzoyl peroxide cream like Quinoderm or Clearasil will stop your skin producing the excess oil, and reduce the spots in about five days.Getting rid of spots (caused by oily skin) without facial scrubs?
Spots are caused by bacteria on the face infecting pores. If you have a better immune system, you don't get spots as easily. Therefore make sure you eat well (lots of fruit and veg). Also they can be encouraged at your time of the month so be aware of that.

There are two ways to deal with spots- you can treat the spot or try to prevent it. As your skin is oily I'd suggest adding 10 drops tea tree oil (you can get it from holland and barrett) to a bottle of witch hazel (from superdrug about 2 quid). After washing your face (you should do this twice a day morn and night) rub over your face with cotton wool. Have you always had oily skin, was it ever very dry for a period before becoming oily. You could be stripping you skin of too much oil so its over producing.

If your skin isn't sensitive then dab tea tree oil straight onto spots, but bare in mind it can be a bit drying. Lavender oil is a bit gentler than tea tree, but not as good at making it less inflamed. If it is sensitive, then dab the witch hazel solution onto spots during the day.

There is a skin care range called Witch that my sister uses and says its good, so that's worth a try. She uses the foaming face wash.

Exfoliation (facial scrubs) do contribute to good skin. Dead skin cells can block pores and cause black heads and trap bacteria. So try to exfoliate once or twice a week or more if your skin can deal with it. A good cheap natural scrub you can make is by using a coffee grinder to grind up sunflower seeds. Mix with a little water and massage into your skin.

A toner will rid you of excess oil and freshen the skin. Astringents tighten pores and therefore make them look smaller. Witch hazel is a good astringent.

    Mint-Vinegar Toner

1 tbsp dried mint ot 3 tbsp fresh mint

    2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 cup distilled water (or you can use rose water if you can't find dist. water)

The acid of the vinegar will help keep you skin an acidic Ph which will guard against infection.

Mix all ingredients together. Stir thoroughly and allow to sit for 3 days. Strain or filter the mint leaves. Pour toner into a clean bottle and apply to face with cotton wool..

    Strawberry Acne Mask

    1/2 cup fresh strawberries

    1 egg white

    2 tsp honey

Strawberries contain salycylic acid which is in many commercial products for acne/spots. Honey is a well known antibacterial ingredient. Both are beneficial if you have spots. Mix together using a blender or fork. Spread over your face and neck and leave for 20 mins. Rinse with cool water and pat skin dry. Refridgerate any leftover for up to a week.

If you use make-up and use your fingers in pots of foundation, concealer etc then make sure you wash before you use so you don't introduce bacteria to it, or use a spoon or cotton bud to get it out.. Keep your hair and hands off your face, your hair will aggravate your skin and your hands touch door handles, toilet locks, and surfaces which all will have lots of bacteria on!

Get plenty of sleep and try not to get stressed out which can cause spots! Good luck with your skin.
Neutrogena makes a spot gel kind of stuff, and you just rub it on the spot that is starting to come up, and the gel just takes the oil out of it. And you can rub a super-thin layer on your face everyday to keep oil of of you whole face. It might dry your skin out, though, so make sure you have some really good oil-free moistruizer. I reccommend Biore's pore-minimizing moisturizer, because it's got sunscreen in it as well.
Try using ST IVES APRICOT SCRUB for oily, acne prone skin,blackheads/blemishes this is a great deep cleaning exfoliator that gets down under the skin it will definetley help prevent future breakouts great for pores and blackheads ive had major problems with acne for almost 7 years and i have tried everything (no exaggeration) and st ives has by far worked the best for me and its only $3 cant beat that my skin has never behaved so well!!! lol Exfoliation is great for removing dead skin cells which will remove red marks and acne scars

I use lemon juice with a cotton ball once daily great for acne acne scars oily skin and blackheads

Smear Vitamin E Oil Caplets on the scarred area.

Smear some tea tree oil on the scar to help it heal faster.

Put 1-2 drops of lavender essential oil on a cotton ball and apply on scar.

Blanch green tea, soak a cotton ball and apply on the scar to help it heal.

Mix Aloe Vera and vitamin E gel caplets and apply to the scar.

Rub honey on the scar as often as you can to make it heal.

Smear any oil on the scar and massage to help it heal.

Rub some olive oil on scars 2-3 times a day.

For acne scars: Mix 1 tablespoon of sour cream ( 0% fat for oily face), 1 tablespoon of yogurt, 1 tablespoon of grind oatmeal and 3-4 drops of lemon juice. Apply on face, leave for 10 minutes and wash off.

Any form of vitamin a such as gel capsules or retina a

I noticed a couple years back when i was sun tanning my scars faded just make sure to use sun screen now im dealing with sun spots!!l lol

1- Wash your skin with glycerin based soaps or sorbitol based cleansers

In order to keep your skin oil free and clean from dirt it is very important to periodically wash your face water using glycerin based soap. By using glycerin based soap or sorbitol based face cleanser, you will get rid of all your skin鈥檚 oil without over-drying or irritating it. Also another reason for using these types of soaps is that they also balance the acidity of your skin, this creates a hostile environment for bacteria to grow resulting in a cleaner face.

    2- Oatmeal facial mask

Oatmeal is known to be a very good in help you maintain an oil free skin by absorbing it. All you have to do is make a thick paste by mixing regular oatmeal and water and apply it to your face for 10 to 20 minutes twice a day, preferably in the morning and at night before going to sleep. Rinse the paste off your face preferably with cool water.

3- Honey and apples facial mask

Another very effective facial mask for those with oily skin is made from honey and apples. Just make an apple paste and add 3 to 4 tablespoons of honey mix it well and gently apply it to your face, leave it to work for 15 minutes, the rinse it well with warm water.

    4- The famous toothpaste remedy

Spread a little toothpaste on your zit before going to sleep at night. This is supposed to reduce zit swelling. It鈥檚 one of the most popular home remedies because it really works.
t zone sell a really good wee roll on spot thingy , it's quite astringent and basically kills the spots and you just roll it over the spot like a lipgloss type of thing and i find it great as I also have oily skin and the redness of the spots get reduced greatly.
Stop eating all those chips, sweets and big macs. Then drink plenty of water instead of alcopops. That should do the trick!!
what i usually do is before i go to bed dam a bit of tooth paste on my spots and this dried them up and then after you should moisturise and soon they will go away...good luck =]
    Wire brush and Dettol
all you can really do is get some kind of scrub. If it's important to you, you will find the time, or have a friend or family member pick some up for you.
clean and clear get the wipes so you dont have to spend long on it just wipe your face over x
    This really does work!!

Take 4 aspirin and dissolve them in a drop or two of water

Then add quite a large amount of honey and mix it together.

Then apply to the area affected and leave for 20-30 minutes.

Do this once/twice a day and it should start working,

    It worked for me!!
use water with baking soda. that should help a little bit. and make sure you dont stop moisturizing just because you have oily skin. if you wash your face without moisturizing it, your face will produce more natural oils.

I sell AVON in SC and one thing that women love is the MagiX. It reduces shine and if your face is sensitive, it's perfect because their makeup is all hypoallergenic! MagiX goes on really smooth and stops your face from shining for about 10 hours. I have really oily skin so I have the worst time trying to keep my face from being so shiny, I could instantly tell a difference with this compared to other products. Also, it's colorless so it doesn't matter what color your skin type is. You can wear it alone or apply it before your foundation which helps it last a little longer instead of having to reapply your makeup every few hours! Let me know if you are interested, you can find it online if you don't have a local AVON lady. If you want to shop online at my store, I have a free direct shipping code! Just let me know and good luck!

The best foundation in your case is no foundation.

If you put any foundation or concealers on oily skin it will just clog up your pores and aggravate the condition further.

If you really want the ';matte finish look'; I would suggest Nivia Tinted Moisturizers as it doesn't clog the pores.

So for a while try using a combination of some Clearasil cleansing products for oily skin and the Nivia Tinted Moisturizers.

    Hope I helped :]
I would say use a powder, my skin can be quite oily so I use a mineral based powder. Try the Body Shop, their mineral powders are amazing but quite expensive. Other brands of makeup do their own versions but I recommend mineral as it is kinder to your skin and not so heavy, I've found I don't get as many spots.

    http://www.mybeautyonline.com/skin-care/鈥?/a>

excessive drying also is bad as it causes skin to crackle and allow entry of bacteria===again==acne +more oil!!!!!!!!!!How do I deal with my oily skin?
I would recommend a moisturizer to use which would help your oily skin condition. Try Zenmed's Sebum Regulating Moisturizer which helps to balance the oil levels on your skin and keeps your face lightly moisturized while taking away the oiliness and greasiness from your face. It's a very good moisturizer to use for oily and acne prone skin. Also remember that you need to drink lots of water and cut down on eating oily, junk food and chocolates. Eat more of vegetables and fruits.
People with oily skin should wash their face at least three times a day, but bear in mind that excessive washing can stimulate your oil glands to produce more oil. Oily skin needs special cleansing with plenty of water and soap to prevent pores from getting clogged. Do not use products that are harsh on the skin, as these can strip your skin of its natural oils and leave it feeling taut and dehydrated and can hamper the flow of oil through the pores which can lead to blockages and cause problems such as acne breakouts.

When choosing a cleanser you should avoid using heavy cleansing creams and harsh soaps, as these will definitely stimulate the oil glands into action. You should use products that are oil based to cleanse your skin as they dissolve sebum effectively. You can choose soaps made of natural ingredients such as Aloe Vera based soap or a light medicated soap, if you prefer you can try using an antibacterial cleansing lotion and use it with mineral water, be sure that it is hot water as hot water dissolves skin oil much faster than lukewarm water. Avoid cleansers or lotions that contain alcohol, as they can be harsh on the skin.

If you have extremely oily skin, you should wash your face at least three or four times a day and avoid using any type of moisturizer, if you must use a moisturizer be sure that it is not an oil based moisturizer in order to maintain an oil free complexion. If your oily skin is flaky, you should try using a deep defoliant every other night, followed by a light coating of moisturizer. If you have sensitive skin you should try using a clay mask made out of white or rose colored clays.

Diet is also important in the treatment of oily skin, as with everything else, you should eat foods rich in proteins but without sugar and salt. Eat plenty of leafy green vegetables such as lettuce and cabbage and fresh fruits as apples, oranges and avocado. It is also important for you to take in vitamins and so foods rich in vitamins such as beans, nuts, and wheat germ which provided vitamins A and B. Also eat foods such as black beans and whole grain rice, which supply iron to the body to rejuvenate pale skin, Vitamin B2 is the most important vitamin for the condition of oily skin and the slightest deficiency of Vitamin B2 can result in oily skin. Drink plenty of mineral water to help keep the skin hydrated and to flush out toxins from the body.
Hi! Try facewashes that can remove the oilyness from ur skin and that can treat ur skin with acnes. Why dont u try this:

Mix 2 tsp of corn flour with 2 tsp of milk and 1 tsp of lemon juice. THis will cleanse your skin plus remove all the oily texture from it...

    Best Wishes.
Talk to a Mary Kaye consultant. I don't sell it and seldom use it because I have no need for it at this time. They've been studying skin problems for years.
You need to wash your face more often and shower every day (or so) to remove the oil. If your a teen it's natural. If your an adult then you just need to put up with it!
instead of spending money on a bunch of those oil sheets...just use toilet seat covers, as weird as that sounds...it takes off all the oil. weird i know but it works...=)
put some ordinary toothpaste on your breakouts and it will dry out your oily skin!!

I love the Hollywood foundation from LA Minerals. It lasts all day and covers really well. I apply it with a kabuki brush and literally takes me a minute. I use their oil control powder on my forehead and it is FANTASTIC!!!! My face used to be an oil slick by noon, but now the shine doesn't show through till about 8 hours later!

You should definitely get some samples to try. They have a buncha fair skinned shades.

Get a mattifying foundation. They tend to last longer. Make sure you do wash it all off at night though so it doesn't clog your pores. I have been through a million foundations in the past year because it really IS hard to find the right foundation, especially when you have sensitive skin! :(

    Good luck!
try stay away from liquid foundation..they tend to be very oily and not good for the skin

go for a mouse foundation it looks great on the skin and doesn't give you that oily look.

    Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation

    is a great one

and also revlon mouse foundation is greatt!

i think u should google Dinair Airbrush Makeup..its awesome...its a light bit on the pricier side but **** worth every single penny...it covers everything and makes my skin look flawless...its also great for sensitive skin because its all water based. they also have this stuff u can put on under ur makeup that absorbs and gets rid of oil as its being produced. Anywho i hope i helped.
i have oily skin that breaks out easily and is sensitive and what works for me is Mac studio sculpt. its gel based so it helps even out ur skins surface, gives moisture which is good trust me and stays on real nicely. good luck.
dont use liquid foundation, this is what is damaging ur skin.

instead of using a liquid foundation, use a powdery mineral make up. it won't come off with sweat and water and also won't damage ur skin
Oooh, I %26lt;3 Maybelline Matte mouse, It looks really natural tbh. Liquids and powders don't really work for me and I'd deffo recommend the Maybelline!

Can you recommend any products for oily skin?

I Use ProActiv which has cleared up my skin, but it's still pretty oily. Does anyone know of any drug store products that won't interfere with the ProActiv but will control the oil? Perhaps some sort of moisturizer or something. Can you recommend any products for oily skin?
An oily skin , as the name implies, is one in which the sebaceous or oil-producing glands are over active. As surface grease tends to attract dirt, an oily skin acquires a dirty surface film , that needs to be removed daily. For more details log to http://useinfo-oilyskin.blogspot.com/Can you recommend any products for oily skin?
No7 shine free make up base. wear it alone or under make up. I swear buy it its only 拢10 and you can get it from boots. All my oily mates and me use it! Also it lasts ages and clears up blemishes and scars.
I don't know about interfering with Pro-Active...however, I use Clinique products for my oily skin and it does wonders. It actually clears up my face too. It's the 3 step system...face-wash, toner and lotion. Level 3 I believe.
The only thing I can recommend is some sort of oil-blotting sheets (Clean and Clear sells them, and now, drugstores like CVS are making their own brand as well). When I used ProActiv, I had the same experience with the oiliness...I think it's just the nature of the product reacting with your skin's natural oiliness. Blotting sheets are really easy to use and won't smudge your make-up if you wear any. A good oil-free make-up will also help minimize your oil production. Two recent favorites I've used are Maybelline's Pure Makeup and Revlon's ColorStay for combination/oily skin.

If you do decide to use make-up, note that the Revlon should be applied with a make-up sponge by dotting it on your face, because wiping it on with your fingers will make it too thick and heavy-feeling. Good luck! Definitely try the oil blotters!
Do you use a toner? I use Neutrogena toner with no alcohol. That should help dry up your skin a bit. As for moisturizers, look for ones with no oil in them. Is your skin sensitive? If it is, try using Neutrogena or Aveeno. They seem to have ';not so harsh'; ingredients in them.

I was hoping to get some tips from your question too, but did not see any. This is what I do and I am generally happy with my skin.

Drink at least a gallon of water each day. If you have ever taken a cell biology class then you know that water is used in every cellular process in the body. It is extremely important and keeps the skin clear by helping the body rid itself of toxins. I noticed a huge difference in my complexion when I started drinking a lot of water.

I use aloe vera and sea breeze to clean my face, b/c I am sensitive to regular soaps. I put an aloe vera mask on my face before I go to bed at nite. I use aloe vera gel that I purchase from CVS (a drug store). I purchase the CVS brand b/c the first ingredient in the gel is aloe, not mineral oil or water.

I also clean my pores by steaming my face in a sauna (but you can also use an old pot and towel). The steam sauna helps you to sweat and clears your pores. To use the pot all you have to do is fill a stewing pot with 1/2 water. Boil the water (turn it off after it has reached a boil), then hold your face over the pot and put the towel over your head to create a type of seal to keep the steam in. Be careful and don't burn yourself!!!

You can also go to a dermatologist if you really want to get some expert advice on treating your skin problems. Take care and Good luck.

I also forgot avoid eating greasy foods and foods that contain a lot of sugar.

i agree.. i have similar skin and mary kay had prob the best, most long lasting coverage ive ever used. it's a pretty thick foundation but doesnt look that way when its on the way mac does. it is slightly expensive, but not even close to many of the other counter/mail order brands. the nice part is u only need a tiny bit for your whole face, so even if it costs more, the tube will last you longer. over the foundation put a layer of pressed powder (mary kay has awesome pp as well) to get the porcelin look and lock it into place.
Use Mary Kay foundation it works very good here is a web site if you want to buy some:

My face seems to get really oily throughout the day when I'm in school, so I can't blot the oil. Are there any moisturizers that work? powders? What is the best product to get rid of oily skin?
You might find this web site's info for skin care and beauty info

good, just2peachy27.What is the best product to get rid of oily skin?
First of all, if your skin is oily there is no need to moisturize. Oil is the skins natural moisturizer, so if you're adding any other moisturizing product on top of that then it will only add to your problem. If your skin is feeling a little dry then a gel moisturizer like Clinique Dramatically Different Moisurizing Gel would help. Also, a sunscreen like Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion SPF 55 is known for it's mattifying finish and wears very well under makeup.

One tip I have is to take a few squares of toilet paper and press down lightly over your foundation. This will help to make your foundation last longer as well as help to stop your skin from becoming oily sooner.

After the above step you can then apply a powder in tapping motions onto the oily areas of your skin. Some popular and highly recommended products are MAC Blot Powder, Garden of Wisdom Silica Powder and Jurlique Silk Dust.

The best way to get rid of severely oily skin (like I have) is to get old.

When you get old and your skin is itchy from dryness in a way you never dreamed could exist you'll long for the days when you had extra oil to go around.

Retin A works well. She may bump you up to stronger stuff depending on how you react because this stuff can cause serious over dryness if not used properly or on the right skin type.

As an aside I find that the best moisturizer for my dry hands (the backs) is the oil from my forehead. P.S. I didn't used to have dry skin anywhere.

My skin is very sensitive and acne prone and I've tried many moisturizers in my search for one that won't make me break out and that will go with my topical acne gel. For awhile I even just gave up on moisturizing because almost every moisturizer would make me break out or make my skin incredibly greasy and oily looking - but I tan frequently so that isn't a solution. My best choice is Alba Botanica - Green Tea %26amp; Aloe Oil-Free Moisturizer. My skin is actually in better condition with an even tone after I use it, and it feels so soft afterward. I paid $16 for a 3 oz. jar at Walgreens drugstore. Pricey but it is worth it! Here is more info:

Signature ingredient: This oil-free, daily moisturizer infuses the skin with rejuvenating aloe vera, one of the world's most perfect substances for skin-repair, and green tea, a powerful antioxidant which protects from free radical damage, has anti-inflammatory properties and repairs and strengthens.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer SPF 15 This is a basic, good moisturizer, with the added benefit of having sun protection. You might be better off using a different moisturizer for bedtime --no need for sunscreen ingredients when sleeping. Neutrogena is one of the top recommended products for skin care by dermatologists and can be found in just about any drug store or super market. Neutrogena is especially good for people who suffer from oily skin or acne that is often caused by oily skin.

Rinse your clean face with small amount of apple cider water added to 1 cup warm water. Just splash on your face. My dermatologist suggested this. And he also said to apply aloe with no alcohol in it as a moisturizer.

With oily skin avoid ingredients that can clog pores and aggravate acne such as cocoa butter, olive oil, corn oil, acetylated lanolin, butyl sterate and any other comedogenic ingredients.
Use one formulated for oily skin. I use the Body Shop's tea tree oil line and it works great. The moisturizer works without being too heavy or oily. You can buy it at Body Shop stores, thebodyshop.com, or amazon.com.

Also be sure to moisturize after washing your face before you go to bed. Not doing can make your skin overproduce oil.
Any moisturizer that says oil free. Drugstores carry many.

What is a good foundation for oily skin?

I've gone through so many different kinds of foundation through the years and I cant find the right one. I break out easily. I have very fair, oily skin. I'm a pharmacy technician and a nursing student so I dont have much time to retouch my make up through out the day. Can anyone recommend a fairly inexpensive brand that could work for me?! Please and thank you! What is a good foundation for oily skin?
Finding the right foundation can be a difficult process. Try to find a foundation that is water based instead of oil based. Mineral makeup and organic makeup is a good place to start. Read our beauty tip, What kind of natural foundation is right for you?- http://www.dailymakeover.com/beauty_tips鈥?/a>

It will give you some of our favorite products like Almay Pure Blends Makeup and Physician鈥檚 Formula Organic Wear Face Sculpting Trio. Both are great and totally affordable! What is a good foundation for oily skin?
Foundation that is based on organic minerals and natural botanical ingredients are best since they are gentle on the skin and won't clog the pores.

They have a buncha fair skinned shades.

    http://www.laminerals.com
Get a mattifying foundation. They tend to last longer. Make sure you do wash it all off at night though so it doesn't clog your pores. I have been through a million foundations in the past year because it really IS hard to find the right foundation, especially when you have sensitive skin! :(

    Good luck!
try stay away from liquid foundation..they tend to be very oily and not good for the skin

go for a mouse foundation it looks great on the skin and doesn't give you that oily look.

    Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation

    is a great one

and also revlon mouse foundation is greatt!

    good luck
i think u should google Dinair Airbrush Makeup..its awesome...its a light bit on the pricier side but **** worth every single penny...it covers everything and makes my skin look flawless...its also great for sensitive skin because its all water based. they also have this stuff u can put on under ur makeup that absorbs and gets rid of oil as its being produced.

  • Could acne and oily skin and hair be an early sign of pregnancy?

What is the best blush for oily skin so that it will hold longer?

i have oily skin, but,i use a matte cream blush. tarte cheek stain (: look it up. it rolls on,but not exactly as a cream.its hard to explain.its a lipstick texture.it blends easily and gives you a reall pretty rosy glow (: trust me.i wear it everyday and love it.What is the best blush for oily skin so that it will hold longer?
i know the girl said the make up for ever one but it is not MINERALISED! get the mineral vail. i also have oily skin and i use that one and it makes your skin feel so soft! and it last throughout the day! and for blush, go to sephora and get yourself the right color, because for darker skin you need a darker blush. for myself, i have extremely fair skin and i have smashbox blush which works perfect for me. it is a matter of trying! oh and at sephora you could also ask for samples:D

Tea Tree oil...dont put it all over your face because it will dry it out but for a spot treatment pure tea tree oil, or a tea tree oil gel works really good and drying out your pimples.

I know this might sound weird, but I watched this on the Ellen DeGeneres show, and a famous lady (I forget who) who wrote a book about problems like that said to take some non-scented cat litter, mix it in with water until it forms a paste, and then use it as a nose scrub.

I have oily skin and zits and when I put on foundation on my face it goes on chunky any tips?

I use that whipped mousse stuff from maybelline and when i put it on it goes on chunky and uneven and makes my skin look dry any tips? Should i be using another product and if so what?I have oily skin and zits and when I put on foundation on my face it goes on chunky any tips?
If you have oily skin with zits you really should use an oil free foundation, and if you can find it one that contains Salicylic Acid. This actually helps to clear pores and keep skin oil free. All this means you will not only be hiding the zits but also helping to clear your skin at the same time!!

A great product I have used in the past is ';Dermablend Acne Results Foundation';, you can buy it online at www.skinstore.com, at $27 it's quite expensive however you will find it a fantastic foundation for coverage and has a good range of colours to match your skin tone, and to be honest when it comes to foundation you really get what you pay for. It also contains ingredients which help to fight oil breakouts throughout the day, which means you wont end up looking shiny by lunch time - never a good look!

Another good product is Dr. Feelgood from Benefit, its a balm that's great for using before applying foundation as it fills in fine lines and pores and leaves your skin really smooth - like a baby's bottom! So when you apply the foundation on top you get a really flawless finish. You can buy it online @ www.benefitcosmetics.com, It's really worth trying.

Good luck!!I have oily skin and zits and when I put on foundation on my face it goes on chunky any tips?
If your skin is oily, you might try skipping the foundation and just putting on powder. Or try the foundaton and powder in one.

    Also I like neutragena products.
If a foundation goes on chunky, common sense should tell you to stop using it! I've heard that the mousse foundation actually causes breakouts in some women.

You could try any other oil-free foundation, but the oily skin will always be troublesome. I myself have oily skin, so what I do is use a Cover Girl foundation (it's the only kind that matches my insanely fair skin) around my nose and cheeks, and I finish off the rest of my face with a loose powder. I also use oil blotting sheets throughout the day to remove the shine.
Hi. I found that Physicians Formula has really good foundation....in fact, all of their products are great...the bronzers, the cover-ups, etc.... Good Luck
If you have oily skin, you don't need to put on foundation that has any type of oily in it. You need to use bare essentials, any oil free foundation, or water based foundation if you must use a foundation. Your best bet is to use a dusty powder instead. But before you use anything, please use neutrogena skin care products for your oily skin and zits. If you can't afford that, than use plain alcohol rub or witch hazel.
You need to make sure that you are doing something about your oily skin and pimples before you put anything else on your face....make sure you wash it, apply acne treatment and moisturize before you put foundation on....

The moisturizer should help with the foundation looking dry...

I use Revlon Colorstay foundation and powder...both work great for me, but I apply with a foundation brush...The brush will ensure that your hands DO NOT touch your face...and makes the foundation go on smoother and last longer....Give it a try!!
I have the same skin conditions and I use Revlon's New Complexion. In the morning after I wash my face, I liberally apply a moisturizer (either Proactiv's or Wal-MArts' fragrance/oil free) and then apply my foundation while my skin is still ';wet'; from the moisturizer. I find that it goes on alot smoother, I don't use as much makeup, and my skin doesn't dry out as much or as quickly during the day.

Good luck and keep fighting that acne, girl!
Lancome Color ID is the best. It's pricey but worth it. Definitely goes on smooth and evens out your skintone. Be sure to wash your face first and use a light mosturizer, then apply the foundation with a foundation brush for excellent results on ';problem'; skin.
I used to have acne real bad, I used Max Factor pancake, and believe me, it is not thick at all, in fact lighter that any other foundation that I had try'd, and it was the only one that didn't make my face feel hot and grimey, and stays fresh longer, gotta put it on with a damp cosmetic sponge, and change the sponge often.
Wash your face every night b4 bed!!
    mineral makeup, like bare escentuals.
wet your makeup wedge a little and it will go on smooth. If u don't want to try that, try a lighter foundation that has more color staying power but isnt as thick. A good oil free moisturiser before u put it on works too. Hypo allergenic. I find that most of the time u get what u pay for when it comes to foundation so get the best for your skin. Everything else is okay. Rev. is good, physicians formula, I like clinique very real makeup and it is 100% hypo-allergenic. I have oily skin and occaisional break outs too. But not as many with that product. It looks very natural also. Use a liquid concealer and only dab the pimples u want to hide, if it matches it will blend in with your skin tone.Hypoallergenic ones are good for helping to reduce pimples. Never, Never, Never sleep in your makeup it will ruin your pores and skin.

If I am home I do not wear any makeup to let air get to my skin.
try MAC makeup. studio tech works great. it's a non-liquid foundation that smooths everything out. :]
